2023 Don’t mind the doomsayers, you’ll win – Akwa Ibom Gov tells Atiku, PDP. The governor of Akwa Ibom State and chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Udom Emmanuel, urged the party’s presidential contenders, including former vice president Atiku, and other party supporters to ignore the pessimists.

Udom noted that the campaign council will carry and disseminate the message on how to save and restore Nigerians’ hope this Wednesday at the site of the PDP Presidential campaign’s commencement.

“Don’t mind the doomsayers,” he said, “I read everywhere all those doomsayers saying PDP here, PDP there. But I want to assure you that PDP is a firm Rock, and we know that no matter the wind, it will not move the Rock. Therefore, the rock won’t move no matter how much wind is there around it. The rock is just as sturdy as before. Please disregard the gloomy forecasters.

“We want to reassure you that our campaign is focused on winning. Nothing short of PDP victory is acceptable to them, but to achieve this, we will all need to put in some effort.

“There will be no sitting in Abuja this time; everyone must work hard and deliver the message. The PDP is not an Abuja party; you win in your ward or unit, not from a seat in Abuja. The message will be sent to the unit via the campaign council.

Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto State and the director general of the PDP NCMC, also made statements during which he expressed confidence that the PDP presidential candidate will win.

Additionally, Tambuwal asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to hold credible, free, and open elections.

The Director General of NCMC promised that they would get started right away and would cooperate as a family to secure PDP’s win.

“All of us are going to hit the ground running and we shall work together as a family and speedily to achieve the triumph of our party,” said the governor of Sokoto State.

It is up to us to fight hard and win this election for our party and Nigerians with God on our side because the PDP and our candidate are the ones to beat. We have the support of Nigerians, and we request that INEC hold free and fair elections so that PDP victory is assured by God’s grace.
