Amotekun must be permitted to bear arms to combat marauders- Gov Akeredolu. The State Security Network, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps, must be allowed to carry the greatest tools and weapons available to confront marauders committing crimes against humanity, according to Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Akeredolu highlighted the need to impose the country with the unwavering power of the state since it is in danger from open confrontation between businesspeople and daring non-state actors.
The governor insisted that the state security organization mandated by the law must have access to the same cutting-edge weapons whether it is operating in Western Nigeria, Katsina, Borno, Benue, or any other Northern State.
The governor gave a speech at the Corps Courses 3 and 4 passing-out parade held at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Arcade on Igbatoro Road in Akure.
As a result, the Western Nigeria Security Network, Amotekun Corps, is now not only the first line of defense but also the strongest defense against threats to our civilization and way of life.
“The dedication and bravery of our Amotekun employees since the company’s founding must be emphasized, supported, and highly applauded. We must all stand up right now to thank them for their efforts.
“For our part, we will continue to assist the equipment needs and employee welfare of the state’s security services in order to ensure their operating capabilities.”
