All of its customers now have access to a special Back-to-School loan and remittance program from Ecobank Nigeria. According to Korede Demola-Adeniyi, Head of Consumer Banking at Ecobank Nigeria, the loan options were created in response to the bank’s recognition of the value of education and to better assist clients in achieving the financial freedom they deserve. She emphasized that the bank has constantly demonstrated its dedication and support across various client categories by stating that as part of the program, Ecobank will also be giving Back2School gifts to customers when they receive inflows for school fee payment into their domiciliary accounts.
This is the ideal time to open an Ecobank account or reactivate dormant ones in both local currency (LCY) and foreign currency (FCY) to enjoy all the benefits of the Back2School Scheme, according to Mrs. Demola-Adeniyi, who noted that both new and existing individual customers of the Bank can benefit from the scheme. She claims, “We are conscious that our clients are diverse, with different demands and belong to all segments of society, so we are constantly coming up with initiatives like these to appeal to our various target groups.” In a similar spirit, the bank is providing FCY inflows with favorable rates, whether they are fixed deposits or funds pledged as loan collateral.
The head of consumer products, Mrs. Daberechi Effiong, noted that loan options are available to all client categories, including those with paid and self-employment, when discussing the scheme’s dynamics. Depending on their financial flow, customers can choose between the Employee Credit and Cash-backed Back2School programs. Customers who use the Cash Backed Scheme to access the Back2School loan can receive funds at affordable interest rates. Customers can obtain up to N20 million through the Employee Loan to pay for their children’s tuition. The flexible tenors of the low-cost loan are also included.
According to Mrs. Effiong, the advantages of the Back2School program include easy access to other loan products, such as the Buy Now Pay Later program with SPAR, convenient repayment with flexible tenors to match customers’ cashflow, competitive interest rates on loans and deposits for cash-backed loans and FCY inflow, exciting Back2School gifts, additional N5 per dollar on remittance inflows received, and exciting Back2School gifts. She recommended contacting the Bank’s contact center, its social media sites, or sending an email to AllENG-ConsumerProductsTeams @ecobank.com if they had any additional questions.
