BREAKING I never said Wike is not his children’s father – PDP chair Ayu. Iyorchia Ayu, national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has denied disparaging Governor Nyesom Wike.
The former Senate President apologized in a statement released on Saturday for comments made on social media that appeared to denigrate the Rivers governor.
Ayu called the comments “mischievous and foolish” after sharing some of the screenshots on his Twitter account.
I purportedly wrote in one post that I cannot speak with a man who “cannot father a child,” according to Lawal Garba.
Another article alleges that Wike is not “the biological father of his three children” and includes a photo of the governor and a woman holding children.
Nothing, according to Ayu, could be more clumsy and incompetent, and he added that falling so low was not in his nature or character.The opposition leader remarked that individuals spreading false information about him and the PDP were illiterate.
“I declare that the posts are entirely untrue, clearly and unequivocally. Even yet, the posts are beneath my personality given their clumsy structure.
The statement went on to say, “I never said anything after Wike’s words the other day, and I do not intend to say anything in response.
Ayu and Wike recently had an argument over the latter’s ongoing resistance to Atiku Abubakar’s selection as the PDP’s 2023 presidential nominee.
Wike is accused of using proxies to sue the PDP and seeking to collude with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2018 elections. Governor rejects the allegations.
