EPL Another Chelsea star tells Boehly he wants to leave Stamford Bridge. According to The Evening Standard, Billy Gilmour, another star for Chelsea, has reportedly informed the club’s executives, including co-owner Todd Boehly, that he wants to leave the Blues.
In order to play first-team football, Gilmour wants to leave Chelsea this summer.
According to The Evening Standard, Brighton has made it clear that they want to sign the 21-year-old midfielder to a long-term contract.
Since joining Chelsea from Rangers in 2017, Gilmour has played 22 senior games for the Stamford Bridge team.
Gilmour’s reputation was at an all-time high during the European Championship last summer thanks to his outstanding performance for Scotland during their 0-0 draw with England at Wembley Stadium.
Gilmour later made a season-long loan move to join newly promoted Norwich City.
As a result of Norwich’s relegation to the Championship, his stint there was unsuccessful.
There are presently two years left on Gilmour’s contract with Chelsea.
The Scotland international was cut from Thomas Tuchel’s first team and has not been assigned a shirt number for the forthcoming campaign.
Don’t forget that Callum Hudson-Odoi allegedly told Boehly he wanted to leave the team.
Chelsea has conceded that Pulisic, who has been linked to a loan transfer to Man United, wants regular first-team action during a World Cup year.
The Daily Mail claims that Boehly will only permit the transfer if Pulisic first agrees to extend his Chelsea contract.
Chelsea is concerned since the American international’s contract has two years left on it.
The 23-year-old would only have a year remaining in the summer regardless of how well he plays this season on loan, so they cannot sell him for a high price.
If Pulisic signs a one- or two-year contract extension, Chelsea will be able to preserve his value and maintain control over his future.
