EPL Arteta reveals three Arsenal players that will get new deals. Obtaining long-term contracts for Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, and William Saliba is a top priority for Arsenal, according to manager Mikel Arteta.
The team’s strong start to the season has been largely attributed to the three young players.
The existing contracts of Saka and Saliba, both 21 years old, expire in less than two years.
Martinelli’s current contract with Arsenal has a 2025 option.
With Saka a target for Manchester City and Chelsea, and Martinelli under their watch, discussions have started about locking them down for longer.
We obviously need to plan for the future, and we are all working on it, Arteta said before of Thursday’s Europa League matchup with Bodo/Glimt of Norway.
“Edu is obviously on top of it, as is the entire board. We’ll make an effort to act morally, fairly, and as efficiently as we can, rewarding the players who, in our judgment, have a bright future for the team.
“We will do it when we have anything to announce.”
