EPL Harry Kane breaks Thierry Henry record as Arsenal defeat Tottenham. After scoring in Saturday’s North London Derby, Tottenham Hotspur attacker Harry Kane shattered a record previously held by legendary Arsenal player Thierry Henry.
Just before halftime, Kane scored from the penalty spot to tie the score at 1-1 at the Emirates.
The England star’s recent goal brings his total for North London derbies to 14, breaking his previous mark of 13 goals.
In addition, Kane overtook Henry as the leading goal scorer in London derbies.
Henry is currently just one goal behind Kane with 43 goals against clubs with a London base.
Teddy Sheringham, a former Spurs striker, is currently in third position in the rankings with 32 goals in career London derbies.
The new milestone is not the first time that Kane has outscored Henry in goals scored. On March, after scoring twice against Everton, he passed the two-time Premier League champion in the list of all-time goal scorers.
