Father Ijesha Why Yomi Fabiyi doesn’t feel any remorse is due to Princess, Yomi Fabiyi, a well-known Nollywood actor and producer, asserted that he owes comedian Damilola Adekoya, often known as Princess, no explanation for his support of fellow actor Baba Ijesha.
This comes two months after Nollywood star Olanrewaju James, aka Baba Ijesha, was found guilty by a court of sexually assaulting a juvenile and indecently treating Princess’ foster daughter, among other offenses.
In an interview with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown on the Friday episode of Your View, Yomi Fabiyi made this statement.
Naturally, I don’t think I need to apologize because it was unclear what I was really fighting for. And in my opinion, Nigerians were not taught the fundamental principles and precepts of human rights as children. We weren’t taught growing up that the main players in every situation deserve to have their rights safeguarded when a problem is raised. Why should anybody feel sad or terrible that I am advocating for the defendant’s right to be upheld when I saw that the victim and complainant’s rights had been granted to them?
Princess cursed Yomi Fabiyi and those who backed Baba Ijesha during the trial on social media after she was found guilty.
Later, Baba Ijesha requested post-conviction bail from the court through counsel, awaiting the outcome of his appeal at the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal.
