FG reacts to attack on Nigerian students in India [Video]. The viral video showing an assault on Nigerian students in India prompted a response from the federal government.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), provided an update on Monday.
According to Dabiri-Erewa, the event happened on Saturday when a dispute arose during a football game involving students from India and Africa.
The chairman invited the Indian government representatives and said that 86 persons had been taken into custody by the Nigerian mission.
According to Abike Dabiri-Erewa, diplomats received confirmation of the pupils’ safety before they went back to class on Sunday.
“The campus has become calm once more. A few injuries were reported, and more research is being done.
The official made a statement on a video professor of peace and conflict research Ashok Swain uploaded.
“Students from Nigeria are being assaulted on a university campus close to Delhi.
Swain tweeted, “30,000 Nigerian students pay to study in India, 50,000 Indians live in Nigeria to generate money.”
