How Nigeria, Poland can have win-win relationship – Buhari. The agricultural cooperation between Nigeria and Poland would benefit both countries, according to President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Buhari, collaboration in the agriculture sector would benefit both nations, particularly in light of the increased global food shortages brought on by the situation in Ukraine.

He made this statement on Tuesday in Abuja, following the signing of an agriculture-focused Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Nigeria and Poland, in which both countries also expressed a desire to expand existing areas of economic cooperation.

The signing took occurred during Polish President Andrezej Duda’s state visit to Nigeria, the first by a Polish head of state to Nigeria since the two nations established diplomatic ties in 1961.

At a joint news conference with the visiting Head of State, President Buhari stated that Nigeria is pleased with the productive collaboration that already exists with Poland in the marine, educational, and defense sectors.

Femi Adesina, the president’s special adviser on media and publicity, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday.

Buhari stated that in light of the many challenges facing the world, Nigeria would want to create new cooperative structures, such as ongoing strategic talks and political consultations, to handle both bilateral relations as well as regional and global problems.

According to the Nigerian leader, “our cooperation in education has a long history, and we wish to encourage the extension of that cooperation to the sharing of knowledge and experience between our educational institutions in areas like science and technology as well as Information and Communication Technology, to help drive innovation in our countries in this cutthroat global knowledge economy.”
