Katsina govt suspends ban on night use of motorcycles. The state of Katsina has lifted the restriction on motorbike use at night.
The declaration was made in a statement released in Katsina by Malam Al-Amin Isah, Director-General for New Media under Governor Aminu Masari.
“Gov. Masari has approved the suspension of the restriction on the use of motorbikes at night,” he stated. “This is in keeping with the spirit of the present Eid-El Maulud (festival of the birth of Prophet Mohammed).
The moratorium expires on November 20. The general people is urged to follow the law while the prohibition is suspended.
The people is also urged to exercise caution and support security organizations in their efforts to improve the state’s peace and security, he added.
In response to increased insecurity in the state, the administration imposed the restriction.
In order to provide Muslims the freedom to celebrate Ramadan, which is a 30-day fasting period, the restriction was also abolished during this time.
