Over 5000 APC members defect to PDP in Kogi. In Kogi State, more than 5000 members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, have defected to the opposition PDP (PDP).
On Sunday, APC members in Kogi State’s Avrugo and adjoining wards of the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government area switched over to the PDP.
Hon. Collins Adama, the former vice chairman of the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, who inspired other party members to go to the PDP, claimed that the APC had let down Nigerians.
He asserts that it is time for Nigerians to reject substandard leadership in the general election of 2023 and emphasizes that any error committed at this time will be the end of the country.
Adama, who was welcomed into the PDP family by Hon. Attai Ndamusa Salifu, the chairman of the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government PDP, and Hon. Umar Zakito, the party’s candidate for the State Assembly, also stated that the incumbent APC should be prepared to leave both Kogi State and the federal government.
