PDP crisis I never resigned as govs forum chair – Tambuwal. Waziri Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto State, has denied ever resigning from his post as the PDP Governors Forum’s chairman. Before eventually abandoning his bid for the PDP presidential nomination in favor of Atiku Abubakar during the party’s primaries, Tambuwal was a contender.

He revealed this in a news release that the forum’s director general, CID Maduabum, released on Friday.

This is to advise members of the public and Peoples Democratic Party stakeholders that the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum (PDP-GF), Rt Hon. Contrary to various media reports, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has not given up his position as Chairman of the Forum.

Senator Olaka Nwogu, a well-known PDP member, has claimed that Senator Walid Jibrin was forced out of his position as the party’s BoT chairman against his will in order to keep Iyorcha Ayu (PDP chairman) in the position.
