Security operatives recover corpse of native as Delta communities clash,While fighting broke out between residents of the Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh Communities in the Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State over the demarcated boundary in their land, soldiers from the 3 Battalion (Rear) on an Operation Delta Hawk patrol came across the dead body of a middle-aged man named Mr. Frank Amakiri.
After questioning, security personnel on the site have also detained Micheal Amakiri, the deceased’s biological brother, Daily Post is able to confirm.
The dead, according to residents who identified him, was an Ogbe-Ijoh native.
A fabrique national (FN) rifle with a magazine loaded with nine rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunition, an empty ammo box, and an Infinix mobile phone set were also found on the dead by the security personnel.
Additionally, a technological cell phone was found on the detained suspect.
Immediately after receiving the deceased’s remains, the security agents phoned the leaders of Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas to diffuse the problem.
To assist with investigations, the recovered weapons and ammunition were held in storage.
