Shakira opens up on divorce from Pique. Shakira, a Colombian music artist, made her first public statement following her breakup with Barcelona defender Gerard Pique. Over the course of their 12-year relationship, the couple had two children.
In the cover story for Elle magazine’s October issue, the 45-year-old singer was up about how tough life has been as her romance with the 35-year-old Pique has crumbled.
Oh, this is incredibly difficult for me to talk about personally, especially since this is the first interview I’ve ever given where I’ve addressed this issue.
