Super Eagles defender, Sanusi pens new two-year deal at FC Porto. Zaidu Sanusi, a defender from Nigeria, has agreed to a new two-year deal with FC Porto of Portugal.

In 2020, the left-back joined the Dragons from Santa Clara, another Portuguese team, and has since cemented his position as a vital cog in the team.

Sanusi’s pivotal strike gave FC Porto their 30th league championship last year.

This summer, there were rumors that the 25-year-old might leave the team, but Porto’s high asking price drove off any contenders.

“I am overjoyed that FC Porto has extended my contract with them through 2027. According to Sanusi on the club’s official website, “It is really significant for me.
The defender scored as Porto overcame Bayer Leverkusen of the Bundesliga 2-0 on Tuesday to earn their first victory in the UEFA Champions League this year.

Sanusi considered the strike’s significance.

“I was really thrilled because it was a very significant goal for me, the club, and the president. I feel much more content now that I renewed today.

I want to score lots more goals and win lots more games here,” he stated.
