Unknown gunmen abduct Kwara traditional ruler, wife, driver. The traditional chief of Owa-Onire in the Kwara South Senatorial District of Kwara State has been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen.
He was allegedly abducted together with his wife and driver, the DAILY POST has learned.
Okasanmi Ajayi, the State police command’s police public relations officer, confirmed the news to DAILY POST on Saturday.
Okasanmi stated that two individuals are now being held by police in connection with the case.
He said that the queen’s wife had been saved and that there were still people trying to save the other two victims.
Okasanmi said that Paul Odama, the State Police Commissioner, has sent teams of detectives and the vigilante to the location.
A thorough report, the spokesman promised, would be released as soon as the situation had been thoroughly investigated.
Since the new police commissioner took over last month, this is the first instance of a kidnapping.
